Definition
Procedure text is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps. It explains how people perform different processes in a sequence of steps. This text uses simple present tense, often imperative sentences. It also uses the temporal conjunction such as first, second, then, next, finally, etc.
Structure of Text Procedure
Procedure text has three structures including :
1. Purpose, contains the purpose of making the procedure text or the final result to be achieved (can be in the form of a title)
2. Material, contains information about the tools or materials needed, but not all procedure texts contain this section (commonly found in recipes).
3. Steps, contains the methods taken to achieve the goal. This section usually cannot be changed in order.
Types of Procedures
1. Simple Procedure Text
This text contains only two or three steps. For example procedures for operating magic com.
2. Complex Procedure Text
Text consisting of levels for each stage. For example procedures for filling in KRS.
3. Protocol Procedure Text
Text that has simple steps and is easy to understand. For example procedures of shutting down a PC or laptop.

The Linguistic of Procedure text are:

Is a sentence command or request to emphasize the will and forbid that it can happen. For example: Don't rub the rice too long.
- Action Verb
Is a word that describes a person's actions. For example: push, remove, etc.

The use of conjunctions in procedural texts is the conjunction of time. For example, next, then, after that.

How To Make Pancake
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- ½ teaspoons of salt
- 1 cup full cream milk
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter or vegetable oil
- 1 egg

How To Make:
- Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a small bowl. Whisk them together.
- After that, pour into a medium bowl.
- Add milk, butter or oil, and egg. Mix the dry ingredients. Whisk until just moistened. Remember, do not overmix.
- Heat a cast-iron or non-stick pan. add oil. you can rub the pan with oiled paper towel.
- Pour two to three tablespoons of batter onto the pan. You can use the back of the spoon to spread the batter.
- Let it cook until the surface has bubbles and a few bursts.
- After that, flip the pancake carefully and wait until browned.
- Serve warm and add some toppings.
